Long-Term Care Service

Med Pass Support

Everything your nursing team needs to run a fast, accurate, defensible med pass.

MAR sheets, dose-by-dose labeling, controlled substance tracking, and emergency e-kits.

Med Pass Support

What this looks like in practice

Med pass is the highest-stakes part of your facility's day. We make sure your nurses have everything they need: clearly labeled compliance packaging, paper or electronic MAR sheets in your preferred format, controlled substance count books pre-filled and reconciled, narcotic destruction documentation, and emergency e-kits for after-hours needs.

Our consultant pharmacist meets with your DON or charge nurses quarterly to review the workflow, identify near-misses, and refine the system. Surveys go better when the same person who built the medication system is in the room when surveyors ask questions.

We also stock and maintain the e-kit. Quarterly audits, expiration tracking, and post-use restocking are all included. Your nurses don't need to think about the kit unless they're using it.

What You Get

The benefits in detail.

Paper or eMAR Sheets

Whatever format your team prefers — printed and delivered, or fed directly into your eMAR system.

Controlled Substance Books

CII–CV count books pre-filled for each shift. Destruction logs and witness sign-offs handled.

Emergency E-Kits

Stocked, audited quarterly, and restocked after every use. We track expirations and you don't have to.

Quarterly Workflow Reviews

Consultant pharmacist meets with your DON each quarter to refine workflow and head off survey issues.

Who It's For

This is especially helpful for…

  • DONs running 50+ resident med passes
  • Charge nurses managing multi-shift coverage
  • Facilities preparing for survey
  • New ALR/AL communities setting up their workflow

How It Works

Three simple steps.

01

Workflow assessment

We observe a med pass and document your current process — strengths, friction points, and any survey-readiness gaps.

02

Toolkit setup

MAR sheets, count books, e-kits, and labeling configured to your workflow. Delivered before next med pass.

03

Quarterly tune-ups

Recurring quarterly reviews to refine the system and ensure ongoing survey readiness.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do you support paper MAR or only eMAR?

Both. We print MAR sheets for paper-based facilities and integrate with eMAR platforms for electronic facilities. Many facilities use a hybrid (paper for narcotics, electronic for routine).

How often is the e-kit audited?

Quarterly minimum, plus restocking within 24 hours of any use. We track expirations and rotate stock proactively.

What's included in the e-kit?

Customized to your resident population — typically includes common emergency meds (epinephrine, naloxone, glucagon, antiemetics, antihypertensives) per your medical director's protocol.

Do you provide MAP-trained delegates?

We provide the consulting and training (see MAP Consulting), but the delegates themselves are your facility's staff who we certify.
