Immunizations

Routine, seasonal, and recommended vaccines — administered on-site by our pharmacists.

Stay protected with flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, and other routine immunizations administered by our pharmacists.

Immunizations

What to Expect

Every Auburn Pharmacy pharmacist is certified by the American Pharmacists Association to administer vaccines. We carry the full schedule of routine and seasonal immunizations, and most are walk-in — no appointment needed.

We bill Medicare Part B (for flu, pneumonia, and COVID), Medicare Part D (for shingles and Tdap), MassHealth, and most private insurance directly. The vast majority of our vaccinations are zero out-of-pocket cost.

If you're behind on routine vaccines or unsure what you need, ask. We can pull your record from the Massachusetts Immunization Information System (MIIS) and tell you exactly what's recommended for your age and risk factors.

What You Get

The benefits in detail.

Most Vaccines Covered

Walk-Ins Welcome

No appointment needed for most vaccines. Total time in the pharmacy is usually under 15 minutes including the 15-minute wait period.

MIIS Reporting Included

Every vaccine is reported to the Massachusetts Immunization Information System and shared with your primary care physician.

Family-Friendly

We vaccinate adults and children 7 years and older (per Massachusetts pharmacist scope of practice).

Who It's For

This is especially helpful for…

  • Adults due for annual flu and COVID-19 boosters
  • Adults 50+ for shingles (Shingrix)
  • Adults 65+ for pneumococcal vaccines
  • Anyone needing Tdap booster (every 10 years)
  • Travelers (see Travel Vaccinations)
  • Children 7+ for routine vaccines (Massachusetts protocol)

How It Works

Three simple steps.

01

Walk in or check in

Stop by any time during open hours. Bring your insurance card and (if a child) photo ID for the parent.

02

Quick screening

Brief pre-vaccination screening to make sure the vaccine is appropriate and safe today.

03

Vaccinate + 15-minute wait

Quick injection. We ask you to stay 15 minutes for routine post-vaccine observation, then you're on your way.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which vaccines do you offer?

Flu (standard and high-dose), COVID-19, Shingles (Shingrix), Pneumococcal (PCV20, PPSV23), Tdap, Td booster, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, HPV (Gardasil 9), Meningococcal (MenACWY, MenB), and travel vaccines. Ask if you don't see what you need.

Do you vaccinate children?

Yes — Massachusetts pharmacists can vaccinate children 7 and older. Younger children should see their pediatrician.

Can I get multiple vaccines at one visit?

Usually yes — most vaccines can be given in different arms or sites at the same visit. We'll discuss any timing considerations during screening.

Where will I see the record?

We report every vaccination to the Massachusetts Immunization Information System (MIIS), and you can request a printed copy for your records or to share with employers, schools, or travel destinations.
