Return Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
We want every patient to feel taken care of. Here's how returns and exchanges work at Auburn Pharmacy & Home Health Care.
Prescription Medications
Federal and Massachusetts state law prohibit the return or resale of prescription medications once they have left the pharmacy — even if the package is unopened. This protects every patient by ensuring all dispensed medications are safe and properly stored.
If you receive a prescription and believe there's an error, please contact us immediately. We'll work with you to resolve the issue at no cost.
Over-the-Counter (OTC) Products
Unopened OTC products in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt for a full refund or exchange.
Opened or partially used OTC items cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons.
Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
Unused, unopened DME may be returned within 14 days of purchase with original packaging and receipt. A 15% restocking fee may apply to certain items.
Custom-fitted, hygiene-sensitive, or insurance-billed equipment is non-returnable. Please confirm fit and suitability before purchase — our team is happy to help.
Defective or Damaged Items
If an item arrives defective or damaged, please contact us within 7 days. We will replace the item or issue a full refund, including any return shipping costs.
Refund Method
Refunds are issued in the original method of payment. Credit card refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days. Cash purchases are refunded in cash for amounts under $50; larger amounts are issued by check.
